Rooted and Reaching began in 2025 when Joi Crosby decided to take what she loves most—helping people connect—and share it beyond the walls of the corporate world. As the Owner and CFO (Chief Facilitating Officer), Joi brings her heart for people, curiosity, and joy for connection into every space she enters.
At Rooted and Reaching, we create customized experiences that help people better understand themselves and each other. Why? Because stronger understanding leads to stronger relationships. Using a mix of facilitation, storytelling, and intentional training, we create experiences that are fun, meaningful, and full of “aha” moments you’ll remember long after the session ends.
Joi is a relational extrovert through and through, with a God-given passion for bringing people together. Whether she’s working with a corporate team, a small business, a ministry team, or leading a marriage or relationship-focused experience, her goal is always the same: help people feel seen, heard, and more connected. Rooted in Temperament Theory, Real Colors helps explain why people think, communicate, and respond the way they do—providing a reliable foundation for understanding human behavior across teams, relationships, and communities.
What sets Real Colors apart is not just the science behind it, but the way the experience is designed. The workshop is intentionally fun, interactive, and highly engaging, creating space for participants to learn through conversation, reflection, and shared discovery rather than lectures or labels. People don’t just learn about temperament—they experience it in real time. By assigning colors to each temperament, Real Colors makes complex behavioral concepts easy to understand and even easier to remember.
